·

Bill is one of 38 artists featured in The Printmakers of Cape Cod: 50 Years of Printmaking, a milestone exhibition celebrating five decades of the Cape’s printmaking community, curated by Lynne Allen.

Exhibition: Aug 20–Dec 13, 2026, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Dennis, MA
Opening Reception: Sept 3, 2026 (Artfull Thursday), talk 4:00–5:30 p.m.

The exhibition spans the full range of printmaking disciplines (intaglio, relief, lithography, woodcut, collagraph, monotype, etching, serigraphy, and more), tracing how the craft has evolved on Cape Cod over the past fifty years.

In conjunction with the show, Bill gave an Art Talk at the museum: “The Art of Making an Impression, a brief history of printmaking.” Saturday, September 12, 2026, 2:00–3:00 p.m. The illustrated talk traced 5,000 years of printmaking technique, from the earliest impressions in wet clay through engraving, lithography, and silkscreen, and the shift of prints from a commercial sideline to an equal place in today’s art world alongside painting.
